Management Information – Interactive Workshop (½ day)
This is specific to credit unions. It will provide delegates with the opportunity to become familiar with the new credit union management information ‘tool’ (CUMIT), and to operate it themselves. The workshop will also explain the importance of management information, including Key Performance Indicators, to the effective running of credit unions.

Knowing Your Customers and Competitors (1 Day)

Marketing plays a vital role in successful business ventures.  However, before any marketing can take place it is important to do your research so that you understand the market and can make informed decisions.  This workshop will describe what market research is and why you need to do it; help you identify what you need to research; examine the benefits of market research, including primary and secondary research; and demonstrate how to analyse data and use it.

Financial Planning for Social Enterprises (1 Day)

Financial planning is one of the most important elements of preparing to start a social enterprise.  To survive, your social enterprise must cover all the costs involved in setting up and running the business.  This workshop will provide you with the basics for financial planning.

Business Planning for Social Enterprises (1 Day)

Some people get very scared about the thought of developing a business plan, but it is only a document that tells the reader how you are going to set up and run your social enterprise.  The aims of the workshop are to broadly introduce the role of a business plan and provide an overview of the structure of a Business Plan.
